"The Nursing Chapter dedicated to promoting the specialty of Vascular Nursing in Canada"

The Canadian Chapter Society for Vascular Nursing was formed in 2000 to meet the needs of the Canadian Vascular Nurse. CCSVN is under the umbrella of The Society for Vascular Nursing an international organization dedicated to professionalism and excellence in practice. CCSVN was incorporated in 2004.

CCSVN holds an annual conference at the same time as the Canadian Society of Vascular Surgeons (CSVS), we are members of the PAD Coalition and the Venous Disease Coalition.

ABI Clinic Book

The CCSVN is excited to make the ABI Clinic Booklet available. This resource was developed by sanofi-aventis and Bristol-Myers Squibb in collaboration with the P.A.D. Coalition. This resource tool provides a list of clinics that perform ankle brachial index (ABI) testing across Canada with full contact details. Clinics are sorted by region and city for easy reference.

CNA Certification

Currently, the CNA offers certification in Cardiovascular Nursing  CCN(C). For more information regarding the certification process, please see the CNA website. 

Next Exam: April 9, 2011. Applications accepted September 1 to October 15, 2010.
